Mariska de Groot

Intrigued by the phenomenon and history of optical sound, Mariska de Groot (1982, The Netherlands) creates, performs and composes for complex analog instruments and light-sound installations that explore this principle in a new way.

Her works often refer to past media inventions, with which she tries to evoke multi-sensory and phenomenological experience in light, sound, movement and space.
