Michał Śliwinski

Saxophonist. He started his adventure with music at the age of 6. He graduated from primary Music School in Zduńska Wola (piano) and secondary Music School (saxophone). He is also a graduate of the Academy of Music in Poznań in saxophone. Michał Śliwiński is a versatile musician - he performs classical, contemporary and entertainment music.

He plays in many bands: big-bands, saxophone quartets, brass bands, and also solo. Most often he plays with the Various Artist Saxophone Quartet. He also collaborates with the Poznań Philharmonic, the Polish Dance Theater and the Great Theater in Poznań.

He improves his skills by participating in numerous workshops, saxophone courses and masterclasses, with such masters as Arno Bornkamp (NL), Jean-Denis Michat (FR), Matjaž Drevenšek (SN), Jan Schulte-Bunert (DE), Jérôme Laran (FR), Bernard Steuer (PL), Paweł Gusnar (PL), Bartłomiej Duś (PL), Patrick Meighan (USA), Radek Knop (PL). Śliwiński has extensive teaching experience - he teaches the saxophone in music schools and for orchestras. His musical interests are extremely wide - ranging from folk and ethnic music from around the world (which he performs on the flute and duduk), through classical and popular music (blues, jazz, funk, rock), to contemporary, electronic and experimental music.
